Day 1 – Windhoek (1 Night) Begin your adventure in Windhoek, Namibia’s charming capital nestled in the central highlands. Your guide will greet you upon arrival, hand over your travel documents and welcome pack, and provide an overview of your upcoming journey. With some free time in the afternoon, explore local highlights—visit Christ Church, the National Museum, or browse local shops—before settling in for the evening.

Day 2 – Kalahari (1 Night) After a leisurely breakfast, set off for the Kalahari Desert—a vast, sandy landscape known for its unique ecology and iconic black-maned Kalahari lions. On the 3–4-hour drive from Windhoek (approximately 245 km), enjoy the serene beauty of the dunes and learn about the local Bushman culture, the region’s earliest inhabitants. A nature or game drive in this tranquil setting offers ample opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.

Day 3 – Fish River Canyon (1 Night) Today, journey to one of Namibia’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders—the Fish River Canyon. The drive takes about 7–8 hours (roughly 440 km) as you travel south through Mariental and Keetmanshoop. Along the way, stop to admire geological marvels such as the Quiver Tree Forest and the mysterious Giant’s Playground. Arriving at the canyon, marvel at the vast expanse of this colossal ravine and capture the breathtaking sunset over its rugged depths.

Days 4 & 5 – Lüderitz (2 Nights) Next, head to the coastal town of Lüderitz—a captivating destination where the remnants of Namibia’s diamond mining history and ghost town allure are on full display. The drive from Fish River Canyon takes about 5–6 hours (approximately 385 km), with a chance to glimpse wild desert horses near Aus along the way. In Lüderitz, explore the historic Kolmanskop ghost town and its well-preserved architecture, immersing yourself in the mystique of a once-thriving diamond town.

Days 6 & 7 – Sossusvlei (2 Nights) Venture into the heart of the Namib Desert to experience the legendary sand dunes of Sossusvlei. After breakfast, embark on a scenic 7–8-hour drive (around 505 km) through Helmeringhausen. Here, some of the world’s highest dunes—many over 300 meters—await. Capture iconic landmarks such as Dune 45, Big Daddy, and the surreal landscape of Dead Vlei. For an extra special perspective, consider a hot air balloon ride or a nature drive through the ancient desert.

Days 8 & 9 – Swakopmund (2 Nights) Your journey continues as you drive approximately 5–6 hours (around 350 km) north to Swakopmund, a coastal town steeped in German colonial heritage. Along the way, enjoy a stop at Solitaire and the Tropic of Capricorn, and perhaps a detour through the Welwitschia Plains—home to ancient living fossils. In Swakopmund, choose from a range of activities: dune quad biking, dolphin cruises, sandboarding, or a visit to the iconic Sandwich Harbour, where towering dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean.

Days 10 & 11 – Damaraland (2 Nights) Leave the coastal allure behind as you journey into the rugged expanse of Damaraland. Continue north to the Twyfelfontein rock art site, where ancient engravings and striking geological formations create a dramatic backdrop. Arrive at the park’s southern entrance, Anderson Gate, and set out on an afternoon game drive to catch glimpses of elephants, lions, and other remarkable species.

Days 13 & 14 – Etosha National Park – East (2 Nights) Spend the next two days exploring the eastern reaches of Etosha National Park. Day 15 – Central Namibia (1 Night) Conclude your journey by venturing into Central Namibia, an area known for its striking landscapes and conservation efforts. On the 315 km (4–5 hour) drive south, pass through Otavi and Otjiwarongo, and make a stop at Okonjima—the home of the Africat Foundation, where you can learn about cheetah conservation and possibly spot a cheetah up close. This stop offers a unique blend of wildlife encounters and insights into Namibia’s pioneering conservation initiatives.

Day 16 – Windhoek (Departure) On your final day, enjoy a light breakfast before departing for Windhoek. Bid farewell to your guide and the extraordinary landscapes of Namibia as you arrive at Windhoek Airport for your departure.
